Can a woman forget her nursing child, or show no compassion for the child of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. Isaiah 49:15
God can use anything in your life for good, including suffering and hardship (Romans 8:28).
God promises that he will never leave you alone in your season of suffering (Psalm 118:6).
And when you don’t get the answer you want, or an answer at all, God is still on his throne and has a perfect plan for you (Isaiah 55:8).
Seasons of suffering can be ripe ground for planting new seeds of faith that will grow into deep-rooted trees of faith that will stand firm in the next storm of life that comes your way.
Prayer
Lord, I need you to sustain me today. I trust in your perfect timing, your never-failing love, and your eternal goodness. I need you to carry me with your strength through this season of suffering. Show me what lesson I am supposed to learn and help me to grow closer to you as a result.
Amen.
Happy Second day of January 2019
