Christian Relationships

With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. – Ephesians 4: 2-3

Your kids forgot to take out the garbage again. Your roommate didn’t clean up their dishes again. Your friend is being loud again. Your husband lied to you again. Your girlfriend let you down again, and the list goes on and on. The Bible tells us to be humble, gentle, patient, and loving, in order to keep the unity of the Spirit in our relationships. This is so hard, especially when we’ve been hurt, and we believe justice is needed. However, we must not forget that the Spirit lives within us. God’s strength is within us; along with His humility, gentleness, patience, and love. Aren’t you glad you don’t have to rely on yourself for these things? You can lean on God and use His resources, that’s what they’re there for! Relationships are necessary for us, God wired us for relationships. Even Jesus had 12 close friends, and 4 even closer. God craves having a relationship with us, and He also provides us the ultimate example of a fulfilling and healthy relationship. When you are being challenged in your relationships, lean on God and ask Him how you are to walk through them
