The Wisest Way To Live

But be doers of the word, and not merely hearers who deceive themselves. – James 1:22

The apostle James lovingly warns and corrects the believers who don’t live according to the will of God. The verse above is one of the sincere admonitions he wrote for us so that we can reflect and be gently corrected by the scriptures. James is aware of how slippery the world will become and that it would lead many believers away from doing what the Bible teaches. The Holy Spirit directed him to write these words to beseech us not to deceive ourselves by merely becoming just hearers only. God wants His blessings to overflow in us. This is the wisest way to live our lives, to be both hearers and doers of God’s word
