Forbearance and Forgiveness
Bear with one another and, if anyone has a complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. – Colossians 3:13
Being in a church or a Christian group can be a challenge. If you remain in a particular group or fellowship for a long time, you will discover the various personalities of people who are in that specific group. Sometimes you might feel discomfort, as some will begin to have complaints about one another. Eventually, cold wars set in and you will be surprised that what should be a group is now divided into many portions. In this verse, the Apostle Paul said that we should bear with one another and forgive each other if you have complaints. Forgiveness is the secret to the harmony of a group. Yes, people can and will make lots of mistakes. As Christians, we should carefully admonish them and help them to get back on track. Remember who we are, the sins that we have committed, and all the times the Lord forgave us. He was very patient with our faults and disobedience, and so we should also do the same for others
