Darkness into Light

Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective. – James 5: 16

Throughout scripture, the theme of something in the darkness being brought to light is a symbol of God healing us. When something is kept in the dark, Satan has control over it. He is able to manipulate, lie, and convince. It’s just you and Satan in the dark. But, when we choose to bring that thing out of the darkness and into the light by confessing to another follower, Satan is no longer the only one that has influence over it. We have others that speak truth over it, encourage us, help us out of that thing. God will use that darkness and turn it into light. He is the one that changes darkness into something that glorifies Him and points to His goodness. Is this scary? Yes. Do we want to do it? Not usually. Does Satan want us to? Absolutely not. Should I? YES. If you are tired of that thing in the darkness having control over you, confess it to a follower and watch God work
