Despite what Scripture tells us, it is easy to feel defeated when we mess up or sin, or that somehow God’s love for us diminishes. The good news is that the Bible tells us that God’s love for us is constant, no matter what happens because Jesus has already taken the punishment for our sins. When my children disobey or fail to listen, I may be disappointed, but I could never stop loving them. When I discipline them, it is meant for their well-being, not because I love them any less. God is revealed as our Father in the Bible, so if I feel this way about my children, then God in His perfection feels this infinitely more! Take comfort knowing that God’s love for you will never fade – it is always constant!
