If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.JOHN 8:31-32

You assumed you would always deal with anxiety. You would find yourself anxious over absolutely nothing. You get anxious about problems that didn’t exist. Problems that weren’t even problems. Problems that you create in your mind. You worried a lot about finances,security & health.

You pray. Oh, Lord is the witness that you do pray. But you still have problems with anxiety. Are you not praying hard enough?!

Funny thing about the word abide. It’s not so much something you do, as something you are. You must come to a place, through reading God’s Word, meditating on Scripture, and reading fantastic Christian books and studies, where you truly, and I repeat truly believed where the Bible states you are in Him, and He is in you.

See, the thing about anxiety is that you can’t control it! How can you fix something you can’t control? You can’t! But Jesus could. You can do all things through Him. He is in you, and you were in Him. Therefore, if Jesus can see anxiety for the lie it is, and if He can make it go away completely, then doesn’t it just stand to reason that you can too? Because it isn’t just you; it is Him.

Do anxious thoughts try to come your way? Not as much as they once did I will assume, but they still try to sneak in. The cool part is that God’s truth shines a light on my anxious thoughts, and it exposes them as the lie they are. Whrn you speak Scripture to your anxiety, and if it tries to come on you, you fight it off with God’s Word. This may sound like it can’t possibly work. It may sound like mumbo-jumbo. Maybe you’re saying, you haven’t dealt with real anxiety, not anxiety like the one that make most commit suicide.

Well, I don’t know what your anxiety is like, but I know, now, is that it will feel good in 2022 for you to be free. It’s not anything you can do, per se, but what Jesus can do in you. When you realized and truly believed, rested on, and drew strength from the fact that through the Holy Spirit, Jesus lives in you, you will be able to abide. You will be able to continue in truth. The truth will set you free .
