Prepare for Action

Therefore prepare your minds for action, discipline yourselves; set all your hope on the grace that Jesus Christ will bring you when he is revealed. Like obedient children, do not be conformed to the desires that you formerly had in ignorance. – 1 Peter 1:13-14 

 
Prepare for action. It is time for us all to begin seeking more discipline in our faith. It won’t be easy for us to do this, but as this passage reminds us when we set our hope on the grace that is Jesus Christ, He will reveal more of Himself in our lives. The things that once fueled our heart’s desire will seemingly disappear. Why? Well, because the things of God begin to overcome the things of the world. We prepare ourselves for that change by setting our sights on wanting a deeper relationship with Jesus. What we embraced in our former lives is nothing compared to the wonders we can pursue in our new life with God.
