Mistakes Make: Us Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ – 1 Corinthians 11:1

Being imitators of Christ is a common statement in the Christian faith. It’s a powerful notion to want to imitate Jesus, but what does that really mean? We all know Paul was a wise man, but he also made mistakes. So what is Paul referring to here? He tells us to imitate him. There is more to it though, he tells us to follow his example as he follows Christ’s example. That seems a bit selfish doesn’t it? Well, no, Paul is teaching that regardless of what he does, we should imitate Christ as best we can. The fact that Paul uses himself only reminds us that just as he made mistakes, we will too. What really matters is what we do when we make those mistakes
