In whom you also are built together spiritually into a dwelling place for God. – Ephesians 2:22
Not only does the Holy Spirit dwell within each of us individually, but our spiritual growth together also creates a dwelling place for God. In the Old Testament, God’s dwelling place is the tabernacle. A magnificent, beautiful holy place that was often carried while traveling. The tabernacle was to be protected, and its location always known. It was one of the most important things and was highly respected. Putting this in perspective, how much more is that of the body of Christ? Do we protect and respect each other? How beautiful is it that God chose us to be His dwelling place. With that said, it’s impossible to be friends with every Christian you meet. However, it is necessary to show kindness and grace to every person you meet, Christian or not. It’s not easy, but God dwells in us and we have access to His strength.
